Digit-Eyes Lite serves as a practical tool for reading Digit-Eyes QR (Quick-Response) text barcode labels, catering primarily to users who do not require the extensive functionality of the full Digit-Eyes version. The application can be upgraded to support UPC/EAN codes, allowing for a broader range of barcode scanning capabilities.

One notable feature of Digit-Eyes Lite is its ability to create and read custom labels. Users can generate a PDF containing Digit-Eyes QR barcodes via the Digit-Eyes website, accommodating up to 250 characters of text per code. Such codes are particularly advantageous for labeling items with static content, such as clothing, CDs, canned goods, moving boxes, important documents, and appliance settings.

Labels can be printed using a standard printer on cost-effective address labels, enabling easy attachment to identified items. When utilizing the Digit-Eyes Lite app on an iPhone or iPad, scanning these QR text labels will display their content, which can be read aloud with the VoiceOver feature enabled.
